The Los Angeles Unified School District’s Student Records Center (SRC) is responsible for the permanent archiving of student cumulative records of former LAUSD students. Cumulative records are maintained for students who attended LAUSD schools from the late 1880’s to present day. Records for each LAUSD school the student attended may include a listing of classes completed, grades, test scores, immunization records and graduation status. Student records are generally maintained at the last school of attendance for a period of up to five years after which they are sent to the SRC. Once received at the SRC, the records are digitized and uploaded into the District database. Former students can request copies of their official transcripts by mail. Other SRC services include diploma reprints, GPA/Cal Grant verifications, archival searches, proof of graduation letters, education verification for employment, and complete transcripts (elementary through high school).
The Student Records Center maintains records for all students attending LAUSD public schools. Records for private and non-public schools geographically located within LAUSD boundaries are not maintained by the Student Records Center. Requests for such records must be directed to the private or non-public school.
